Art Deco period sculpture, created around 1930. Old ceramic piece of good quality workmanship, with a shiny cracked white glaze characteristic of the productions of Hippolyte Boulenger Creil-Montereau. Subject depicting a cooing pigeon with stylized lines, in the most beautiful spirit of Art Deco sculptures, a period during which animal representations were very fashionable. Signed Adnet on the base. Piece by JJ ADNET manufactured by HBCM Hippolyte Boulenger Creil-Montereau and edited by La Maitrise listed in the excellent work Les Craquelés Art Déco by Alain René Hardy and Bruno Giardi.
