Pair of Louis XVI armchairs in lacquered wood with "à la reine" backs in the shape of a molded medallion and carved with twisted ribbons. the backs receive arms with cuffs, they are supported by consoles of armrests carved with ribbons and acanthus leaves. the seats are trapezoidal, the front and side crosspieces are curved, molded and sculpted with twisted ribbons. They are based on a tapered and fluted base. They are stamped by Louis DELANOIS master in 1761, one of the great carpenters of the second half of the 18th century. His merits had earned him the protection of Madame du Barry, he delivered to the Prince de Condé a quantity of works for these residences. He achieved a brilliant situation, but the revolution caused his ruin, bankruptcy in 1790 and his death in 1792. Parisian work from the Louis XVI period in perfect condition for the barrels without accidents and without additional reinforcements. Returned in perfect condition in a traditional way by the upholsterer, trim decorated with flowers.
