Geometric abstraction, gouache signed Manel Surroca (1917-2007). Spanish painter. In 1936, when the Spanish Civil War broke out, he left for Paris where he learned the profession of sculptor and took painting lessons at the Académie de la Grande Chaumière. In 1948 he settled in Barcelona where he devotes himself only to painting and participates in numerous exhibitions.
He said: "I paint only for the color and then things come out from there ..."
