Oil on canvas from the 19th century, still life representing a night table top with the book, the necklace, a pen and a glass. Can very well decorate a cabinet of curiosities. The frame bears the annotation L.Berville at Chaussée d'Antin, which allows us to date the painting between 1870 and 1895, when Léon Berville was in charge of the sales company for artist equipment.
