Created in Turin around 1938 by the Lenci manufacture, the ceramic sculpture “Madonna dell’Amore” represents one of the most significant creations of the Turin company.

The decoration is characterized by oblique bands with geometric, arabesque and natural motifs. This example has a matte, unglazed finish, which distinguishes it from the more common glossy versions. The condition is very good, with minimal signs of age, including the trace of an old label on the base near the dove. On the underside is the incised number 775/2, identifying the piece within the manufacture.
