PENDULUM L'ESCAMOTEUR XIXth Exceptional pendulum in regulates representing a mountebank magician and man of strength. He is accompanied by his learned dog and we can see a weight and dumbbells at his feet; On the table in the center are placed goblets for playing hat as well as other magic objects. The sides and the top are decorated with vines and grapes and we also see a violin, a tambourine, a megaphone and a bell to call passers-by. On each side a sign indicating: COME TO SEE and IT'S AT 10 C Scene very representative of street performances from the end of the 18th and 19th centuries The dial has small flaws and a needle is missing. At the back, the regulator tongue stabilizing the pendulum has a slight lack which in no way prevents it from being stable. H: 33 cm L: 25 cm Very beautiful object of French folk art in regulates with brown and golden patina from the 19th century.
