Augis - Gold Diamond And Ruby Love Medal

Love medal in 18K yellow gold, from the famous French house Augis.
The "+" is set with a diamond, and the "-" in yellow gold set with 2 synthetic rubies.
The back of the medal is blank (possibility of engraving in addition).
French work of the 20th century, hallmarked with the head of an eagle, and signed A.Augis.
Very good general condition, note a slight shock to the back at the bottom right, remaining invisible on the front, or when worn.

This medal was created in 1907 by Alphonse AUGIS. It is inspired by a poem dedicated by the poet Rosemonde Gérard to her husband the writer Edmond Rostand. He transcribes these two lines through this medal: "Because you see every day I love you more Today + than yesterday and well - than tomorrow."
