Jean Piaubert (1900-2002) was born in France 1900 and took lessons at the Ecole des Beaux Arts in Bordeaux in 1918 and moved to Paris in 1922 where he was noticed by the couturier Paul Poiret and he also met the painters Dufy, Derain and Friesz From 1945 he turned definitively to abstract painting and to mixed technique in 1964, with inclusions of sand and gravel where some see the silent evolution of stars towards infinities which is a reflection on the movement of the universe and the fragility of the human condition like this work that I am offering you. It is titled, resigned and dated on the back "Mutation 1989" An important bibliography is devoted to the Master whose works are kept in the largest museums in France and abroad Paris: National Museum of Modern Art Abroad: Amsterdam, Basel , Brussels, Copenhagen, New York (Solomon R. Guggenheim)
