Born August 9, 1855 in Uxeau (Saône et Loire), died in 1929.
He was a student of Dumont and Aimé Millet. He often appeared at foreign exhibitions in Chicago, Saint-Louis, Brussels and Munich.
Member of the Committee and Jury of the Salon des Artistes Français in Paris, he was knighted in the Legion of Honor in 1904.
