Dietz Edzard (1893-1963) is a German painter who studied fine arts in Berlin in 1911 alongside Max Beckmann. In 1929, he exhibited in Paris at the Jeu de Paume museum, and after a brief return to Berlin he came to settle permanently in Paris. The Durand-Ruel gallery will exhibit his works on several occasions. During World War II, he was interned in the French internment and deportation camp Les Milles.
