Oil on canvas representing the Infante Marguerite after Velaquez (Prado) by François Alexandre Delaunay (1802-1892). this work shows a beautiful mastery of the Bordeaux artist who remains faithful to the model of the Master. This painting has kept its original frame in gilded stucco with gold leaf. This composition is from the Napoleon 3 period, circa 1860. We would like to point out that the painter, of whom we are also presenting a Still Life with Lobster, is not listed in Bénézit.
