Rare Scandinavian modern design ensemble comprising an Ant chair and its matching drop-leaf table, iconic creations by Danish designer Arne Jacobsen, produced by Fritz Hansen, Denmark, circa 1950s.
The Ant chair, an iconic model of 20th-century design, features a molded laminated plywood shell veneered in rosewood, with an organic and well-balanced form, resting on chromed tubular steel legs. The matching table, also in rosewood, presents a sober and functional structure with drop leaves, allowing both compact and extended use.
An original period set, not a re-edition, bearing FH Danmark markings.
Good vintage condition, with light signs of use consistent with age, and no losses or deep scratches.
