Antoine Calbet (1860-1944) Bathers, Art Nouveau, Watercolor Early XX
Watercolor on strong paper framed by a contemporary gilded wood frame. The watercolor dates from the early 20th century of the Art Nouveau period. Everything is in very good condition. Signature lower right: A. Calbet.

Student of Michel, Alexandre Cabanel and genre painter EA Marsal. He exhibited regularly since 1880 at the Salon des Artistes Français of which he became a member. Medalist at the Salons of 1891, 1892, 1893.
Silver medal at the Universal Exhibition of 1900.
