"Antoine Calbet (1860-1944) Bathers, Art Nouveau, Watercolor Early XX"
Watercolor on strong paper framed by a contemporary gilded wood frame. The watercolor dates from the early 20th century of the Art Nouveau period. Everything is in very good condition. Signature lower right: A. Calbet.
Two women bathers, having fun in the water.
Extremely refined and delicate watercolor drawing like a little jewellery.

Size with frame: 19 x 19 cm

Antoine CALBET (1860-1944) XIX-XX centuries. French.
Genre painter, nudes, portraits, draftsman, watercolorist, illustrator.
Student of Michel, Alexandre Cabanel and genre painter EA Marsal. He exhibited regularly since 1880 at the Salon des Artistes Français of which he became a member. Medalist at the Salons of 1891, 1892, 1893.
Silver medal at the Universal Exhibition of 1900.
