Classics never die! (and fortunately for those who find beauty only in the achievements of the past) This baguette (so called because of its small width) is Louis XV style. Its profile in a bundle of chopsticks punctuated by a winding of acanthus leaves is elegant, discreet and of good size and can suit a fireplace or add to a room unless it comes to occupy the top of a sofa, of a dresser or the center of a wall. Its burnished gilding on the projecting parts is of good quality and stands the comparison with period gilding. Its silvery tin ice cream is contemporary.
