José Martorell is a painter of Spanish origin, born in 1845; The Bird Concert. This pair of paintings reminds us of those of the Flemish painters of the 17th century in particular, Brueghel the Elder, Snyders and Van Kessel the Elder who represented exotic species so well. Our two paintings are painted on their original canvas, signed lower right. J Martorell. XIXth century and are furnished with their original gilt wood frame.
