Fernand-Adolphe LUZEAU BROCHARD born in Cholet in 1849 was a pupil of Jean-Léon Gérôme and Paul-Emile Sautai. He regularly participates in the Salon de Peinture from 1879 to 1925 where he will obtain an honorable mention in 1884. He painted many religious scenes and sacristy. Interesting oil on canvas depicting the interior of a 19th century dyeing workshop. Very nice atmosphere. Rare subject and very well treated by this painter of which it was not the specialty.
