Virgin and Child from the 18th century French school. Really of excellent quality, this painting representing a beautiful Virgin in profile, which gives a tender caress to the Child seated in her arms. The scene takes place outside under a tree of red cherries, symbol of passion. The colors are particularly bright and the complexion of the two figures full of light contrast with the shade of the garden, in particular the vermilion coat of the Virgin. The painting obviously very beautifully hand, is placed in the most beautiful French production of the XVIIIth on the models of Simon Vouet. Measures 111 x 84 frame 130 x 104 Excellent state of conservation. Important old frame gilded with gold leaf, in excellent condition More information and details on www.antichitaischia.it
