Edgar Bundy is a self-taught English painter who spent part of his childhood in the studio of Alfred Stevens. He specialized in historical oil paintings and watercolors. He received a 2nd class medal at the Salon des Artistes Français in 1909, the year he went on exhibition. His works appear in exhibitions at the Académie des Beaux-Arts de France in 1907 and at the Royal Academy in 1915. The artist's works are influenced by those of John Millais, William Morris and John Ruskin. The artist became a member of the Royal Academy of Arts in 1915
