Paul Haesaert (1813-1893), family portrait, pencil on paper, signed left at the bottom, around 1845.
Depicted is the family of Louis Alexandre de Dieudonné de Corbeek over Loo, named Baron by letters patent of April 15, 1843 married August 24, 1830 the day before the performance of the mute of Portici, in the theater de la Monnaie, Catherine Jeanne Joostens with whom he had twelve children, the two oldest of whom died within a few weeks. The three little girls represented on this drawing were born in 1833-35-37 and at the end of July 1838. The oldest and the youngest married two brothers, the sons of Antoine Nicolas Joseph Ernst, Minister of Justice. They will both be created barons by of Pope Pius IX, in 1875.
