The 100 Aux Florins Piece - After Rembrandt
Engraving on vellum after Rembrandt, the coin with 100 guilders, after a copper engraved in the XIXth century, the sheet measures 47x54, the engraving 27.8 x 39.4cm. Good condition, stain on the top of the paper (see photo). This engraving, which is marvelous and whose price (of the original) did not stop growing, shows Jesus Christ healing the sick. We see him standing in front. His left hand is raised, his elbow resting on a stone. He addresses the people on the left. At his feet is a sick woman, lying on straw. Next to her, on the right side, are other sick people who implore the help of Jesus Christ. The right part is shaded, contrasting with the left part, very clear.
