Crystal service with his princely cipher
Crystal service composed of a carafe and its stopper, a water glass and a finger rinser, engraved with his cipher RO with the France children's crown, decorated with gold rims.
Good condition, slight wear on the gold.
French work circa 1875.

History
Robert of Orleans, grandson of King Louis-Philippe, notably participated in the American Civil War. Very close to his uncle, the Duke of Aumale, he shared the end of his life between Paris and the Château de Vineuil-Saint-Firmin which was part of the Domaine de Chantilly.
