Superb and rare bronze statue of Saint-Christophe from the 17th century. Presented on a wooden base here posterior, this superb quality sculpture with medal patina represents Christophe of Lycia better known Saint Christophe derived from the Greek words Khristos (Christ) and Phorein (to carry). Saint Christopher carrying the baby Jesus on his shoulder who himself supports the earth, he is the carrier of those who use means of transport. This bronze of great finesse with a superb original patina and a carving of great finesse. Rare object of this time and in perfect state of conservation.
