"Silver Ciborium, France Paris Around 1844-1863"
The ciborium, made in repoussé silver on the motif of the plant symbols of the Eucharist, is made up of five nested or screwed elements: a domed foot of circular shape with a doucine, a rod on which succeed a piriform knot and several collars and a ring with tracery and pearls, then a cut of circular plan which is nested in a cut-out cut, perforated and repelled which flares above a corolla of leaves decorated with reeds, wheat, grape clusters A cover with same vegetable decor on a matte background and underlined with a frieze of water leaves closes the cup. The sacred cross which stands in the middle of the cover is melted with foliage decoration. The golden cup and lid on the inside / traces of use The set was produced by Charles-Eugène Trioullier, active goldsmith in Paris, between 1844 and 1863 Hallmarks Minerve 950/1000 and hallmarks of Master Goldsmith on each element.
