Beautiful oil on canvas 73x92cm (95 x 115 cm framed) signed CARL HESSMERT - impressionist German painter born in 1869 in FÜRSTENBERG (ODER) and died in BERLIN in 1928 .. This beautiful landscape represents a goose keeper at the pond in front of a field of haystacks. HESSMERT studied from 1892 to 1899 at the Berlin Academy of Arts at EUGEN BRACHT. He will become in 1901 professor at the academy of arts of DRESDE. From 1896, he regularly exhibited his works at major art exhibitions BERLIN and MUNICH at the glass palace. he will realize his landscapes especially in LOWER - LUSACE, in MARK BRANDEBOURG or on the Baltic coast of POMERANIE.
