19th Century Savoyard Quenouille

rare corkscrew native of savoie, patronymic to philomène bamel and dated 1896. the foot is in turned wood nicely carved of fine decorations, the base measures 26 cm of diameter, it is adjustable in height. the distaff is particularly carved and inlaid with pewter, we can see models similar to the museum of popular traditions of moûtiers in Savoy, it is 125 cm high. the set measures 148 cm with its setting at the lowest, it is a very beautiful object of popular art.
