Bronze sitting Buddha from the ancient Lan Na kingdom of Thailand. Typical example of the rare style of Hot District, shows the classic openwork in the base. High quantity of precious metals makes the weathered surfaces an extremely attractive texture and patina. North Thailand, 16th century. H. cm. 24. Part of the base is missing, and some losses seen in the photos.
