Secretary with flap revealing a compartmentalized interior 7 drawers decorated with an inlay of mahogany veneer cubes, in a framing frame of ebony macassar, intercalated ivory elements surmounted by a portor marble and finished by 6 ovoid feet Ivory quadrangular pull buttons Interior of the flap including a mahogany shelf and a red leather desk underlined with a golden border Light traces of use (excellent condition) Exceptional piece (in the spirit of Ruhlmann) !! The DIM house (Modern Interior Design) was created in 1918 by Joubert (architect and cabinetmaker), Mouveau (decorator), to whom, from 1924, Philippe Petit joined. The house participated in all major decorative arts exhibitions and had several outlets in Paris. From 1927, they worked for the whole world and especially for luxury liners. DIM will survive until the 1940s after the death of its founders. Provenance of the furniture presented here: Sale Christie's Monaco from 01 February 1987, lot 192.
