A black patina Africanist planter depicting a young child sitting holding a pot in his hands. France, created by Ricardo Scarpa circa 1960. New black patina. Ricardo Scarpa (1905-1999) was born in Venice, he studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Venice and moved to Paris in 1928. He was a sculptor and also created bronze lamps.He was awarded by the Society of French Artists in 197 with a gilt medal.
