Pair Of Louis XVI Sconces
Rare and exceptional pair of Louis XVI sconces, 3 arms of light, finely chiseled bronze and gilded with mercury, matt two-tone and glossy burnished with agate, having retained its original gilding. Model Atlantis. Late 18th, early 19th. The beams of light originate, among plants, on a keystone trapezoidal shape decorated with an Atlante mask and support pendants in rock quartz, carved crystal and "smoky quartz". An Atlante bronze patinated brown nuanced medal, based on the entablature of the console and supports a crystal cone "quartz stone" cut in the shape of Obelisk. The winding light arms support acanthus leaf-patterned bobines on which water-leaf patterned binets rest.
