Quaint hunting scene by the great 19th century Provençal animal artist François Simon (1818-1896). The beautifully framed work represents a spaniel-type hunting dog and a duck huddled (lower right) in the vegetation. In good condition and in its own juice, it measures with its beautiful nineteenth frame 50 cm by 65, and 27 cm by 40 without the frame.
