Amulet Of Pateque

Egyptian earthenware - Low Period. Pateque was on crocodiles (absent due to breakage). On his shoulders are 2 hawks and holds a snake in each hand and his skull is covered by a beetle. he is leaning against a stele engraved with the goddess Isis, horned with horns and the solar disk. A similar copy can be found at the Mariemont Museum (B.463) [Egyptian Antiquities at the Royal Museum of Mariemont, page 238]
