9 Snakes Engravings From Earl Lacpede
Nine engravings representing serpents, extracts works of the Count of Laceépède (1756-1825) Zoologist and French politician. Friend of Buffon, he publishes many richly illustrated books on animals to democratize their knowledge. These engravings after Oudart are engraved by Delarue and date from the late eighteenth - early nineteenth century. They are framed in gloss black lacquered wood frames with a thick ivory passe partout. Good condition, some rednesses, posterior frames. Delivery costs Metropolitan France 30 euro.
