Pair of neogothic style armchairs, walnut, fully carved. Sculpture of triboulet characters at the ends of the armrests. On the top of the back, two dragons supporting armor. On the top of each side of the back carving a knight's head. X base, richly carved, ending in lions feet. Signature on each chair on a front post of armrest V. Aimone. Victor Aimone (1853 - 1922 Paris) Engraver, Italian sculptor. In 1878 he received a 3rd order medal at the Salon des artistes français. Aimone is active in Italy then in Paris from 1890.
