Chinese navy diorama: China late nineteenth

Charming pair of marine paintings forming a pendant, these are two dioramas representing lacustrine scenes in finely carved wood on a stencilled background.

Framed under glass with Marie Louise in blue velvet and frames in original satin gilt wood.

STATE: they are in good general state, healthy and solid, to note wears in the decoration painted on one of the two tables and some wear of use on the frames.

The carved wood decor is amazingly fine and presents no accident.
