Born in Saint-Benin d’Azy (Nièvre) 25 of may 1850. Died 30 of June 1925 in Nevers. He was taught by Victor Chavet (1822-1906), Hector Hanoteau (1823-1890), and Paul-Joseph Blanc (1846-1904) He exhibited at the « Salon des Artistes Français » starting from 1880.
