During the sixteenth, seventeenth and eighteenth century, were manufactured in India of a beautiful carpet from the sheep wool and silks finer using the Persian knot. However, from the nineteenth century and into the 1940s, the quality significantly lowered, with the exeption of low production in the city of Srinagar, Amritsar and Agra.
