A Regence Mirror Earlt 18th Century - Circa 1715 - 1735
Regency period mirror in carved wood and gilt with mercury mirrors. An acanthus still very influenced in the style Louis XIV adorns its top delimited by foliage of acanthus on a capital of oves reassembled vegetal winding.
The two shoulders are decorated with shells coiling inner coils with pigtails that arise from foliage to flourish in small flowers. The rectangular shaped central mirror is embedded in a double-edged Bérain frame with openings of mirrors.
One finds in this decoration the beautiful classical ornaments of the decorative arts of the Regency, disposed in an equilibrium still symmetrical dear to this beginning of XVIIIe century, circa1715-1735.
