8-piece Polychrome Crackled Earthenware Fish-themed Tea Set Monogram Pa, Ref. 1232

Miniature fish dinner service made of glazed earthenware, featuring a polychrome design of hand-painted fish.

The set is distinguished by its delicate depictions of fish in various colors, its borders adorned with reddish-brown plant motifs, and its cream-colored background featuring beautiful crackle glazing.

In some places, the designs have a slight raised texture due to the thickness of the paint.

The set includes 8 pieces:

• - 1 soup tureen with lid, 11 cm in diameter

• - 1 oval platter, 19.5 x 9.5 cm

• - 6 plates, 11 cm in diameter

Several pieces bear a hand-painted monogram on the underside of their bases that appears to depict the intertwined letters “PA,” accompanied by an “X” and varying numbers.

Antique piece, likely from the 1910s or 1930s

Condition: Visible crazing in the glaze due to age; a chip on the rim of the soup tureen and three small chips on the platter (see photos)
