An Antique Chinese Scholar's Cabinet
An antique and rare small Chinese scholar’s cabinet made of lacquered wood, dating from the early 19th century.
Crafted from heavy, canvas-covered wood and originally decorated with scenes of palaces and figures, of which only a rather indistinct design remains today. It opens via four small doors separated in the center by a vertical partition. Inside, there is a drawer and a removable pull-out panel providing access to the storage compartment.
