18th-century Carved And Gilded Wooden Mirror
A carved and gilded wooden mirror featuring, in the lower section, a grotesque head surrounded by two cornucopias, with a cherub’s head in the center on each side. In the upper section are two cherub heads surmounted by a seashell. Please note that there are missing sections on the shell above the two cherub heads (clearly visible in the photos), wear on the gilding, and visible missing areas as well as wear on the mirror’s finish due to its age. It dates from the 18th century. It is most likely an Italian mirror.
