Pair Of Louis XVI-style Wall Sconces. 19th Century.

A pair of two-armed wall sconces in chiseled and gilded bronze depicting cupids blowing horns.

The sconces are adorned with acanthus leaves, rosettes, and ribbon bows, and feature a pine cone at the bottom.

Based on a 1787 design by Jean Hauré, a sculptor and master foundryman who had been in charge of the Crown Furniture since 1784, commissioned for the Château de Saint-Cloud.

One example is in the Victoria and Albert Museum in London.
