High-backed Chair With Marquetry And Gilded Bronze, Parisian Craftsmanship
High-backed stool with marquetry – 19th century
A very elegant high-backed stool of fine craftsmanship, made of precious wood with superb marquetry featuring various wood species—a 19th-century Parisian piece
It features a top made of white marble veined with gray, resting on a quadrangular frame richly decorated with geometric marquetry panels. The four slender legs are adorned with contrasting fillets and veneers, accented with beautiful gilded bronze fittings.
The piece rests on a square, multi-tiered base, also inlaid, with small rounded feet.
One will particularly appreciate the finesse of the marquetry work, the warm contrasts of the woods, and the elegance of its architectural silhouette.
A refined decorative piece, ideal for displaying a sculpture, a vase, or a work of art.
