Louis XVI-style Desk Set With Pilasters And Gilded Bronze
A study set consisting of a desk with storage drawers, a cane-backed armchair, and a Louis XVI-style mahogany bookcase with glass doors.
Fluted side pilasters topped with capitals,
frames, handles, locks, and ornamentation in gilded bronze,
molding details,
the set rests on a tapered base, banded and finished with bronze feet.
The tops of the desk and bookcase are made of veined white marble.
(The cane work on the armchair’s seat is damaged; the desk’s leather is heavily worn)
The set is in good condition.
