Elegant period Louis XV armchair with a flat backrest, known as the “Queen’s style,” bearing the double hallmark of François REUZE on the rear crossbar.
Beautifully crafted molded woodwork, sculpted curved legs, re-lacquered in green and cream, with green faux leather upholstery, reinforcing strips, and some chipping and paint flaking.
François REUZE was admitted as a Master in 1743 and worked for various European royal courts.
