Gaston Balande, Large Still Life With Bouquets Of Flowers, 1961
Artist: Gaston Balande (1880-1971)
Large Still Life with Flowers by Gaston Balande.
A large bouquet of chrysanthemums in a glass vase.
A bouquet of roses in an antique Parisian vase
under an old Napoleon III globe.
A blue shepherd’s lamp in the foreground.
This painting was partially cropped at the
bottom by the artist, who wrote on the back:
“I cropped this work for the composition.”
This is why the painting is signed twice and dated 1961 on the back.
In a beautiful Montparnasse frame made of patinated stuccoed wood.
Frame dimensions: 93 x 74 cm
