Wedgwood Art Nouveau Clock With A Musician Motif
A rare porcelain clock made using the “pâte sur pâte” technique in the Wedgwood style, but likely produced by another manufacturer yet to be identified (mark and number on the back). Superb Art Nouveau decoration depicting a female musician against a floral background.
As for the mechanism, since I do not have the key to wind it, I do not know if it works. The piece is in its original condition; the bisque porcelain is in very good condition, with no cracks or restorations, though there is a tiny chip on the bottom of the clock’s right leg (see photo).
Dimensions: height 18 cm, length 13.5 cm, max. thickness 4.2 cm
