A charming wooden mantelpiece mirror with gilded stucco work and a pediment, adorned with a medallion featuring lion mascarons holding a bird alongside two facing sphinxes, the upper transom features a design of fluted archways rising to Corinthian capitals, a band decorated with a frieze of stylized leaves, an interior beaded border, and a beveled mirror.
Dated to the second half of the 19th century.
