Art Deco Upholstered Footstool With Sabre Legs, France, 20th Century

A charming Art Deco footstool featuring a wooden frame raised on elegant splayed sabre legs. The generously padded seat is upholstered in a blue and beige patterned fabric with a stylized repeating motif, accented by decorative nailhead trim along the lower edge.

The warm-toned wood frame complements the rich blue upholstery, creating a refined contrast characteristic of the Art Deco period. Its clean, architectural form and compact proportions make it a versatile piece, suitable as a footstool, ottoman, vanity seat, or decorative accent in both classic and contemporary interiors.
With its elegant silhouette and period character, this footstool offers both practical comfort and decorative appeal.

Good vintage condition with wear consistent with age and use. The upholstery shows some stains and signs of use, while the wooden frame presents minor age-related wear and patina. These imperfections are consistent with the age of the piece and contribute to its authentic character. The accompanying photographs form an integral part of the description and should be carefully reviewed for a complete impression of the condition, upholstery, and finish.
