Pair Of Empire-style Chests Of Drawers, With Half-columns And Walnut-veneered Fronts
Pair of Empire-style half-column chests of drawers with gilded capitals, made of solid walnut and veneered.
The drawer fronts and the perimeter band of the top are veneered in walnut.
The top drawer has a single band.
The interiors are made of poplar; in addition, all the locks, original keys, and decorative metal links from the period are present.
The capitals and column bases are made of gilded paste with gold leaf; one of them requires complete reconstruction.
The pieces retain their original patina and have never been restored.
Restoration can be performed in my workshop (cost to be determined).
