Antique Dressel & Kister Porcelain Nude Dancer Figurine Art Deco 24.5cm
German porcelain figurine depicts a nude female dancer balanced on one foot in a dynamic, expressive pose. Manufactured by Dressel & Kister circa 1910–1912, the sculpture features a glazed porcelain body with finely detailed features. The subject is adorned with painted molded gold jewelry, including an intricate collar necklace set with a central blue cabochon accent, matching wide cuffs on both wrists, and gold-toned spherical ornaments on her light-colored slippers. Her grey hair is styled in a bob contour typical of the early twentieth century. She stands with her right leg lifted forward and arms bent for balance. The figurine is mounted onto a square, tiered wooden pedestal base finished in a dark lacquer. A small, 2-millimeter reddish-brown firing mark is present on the inside of the left forearm where the glaze did not fully cover the ceramic body during production. This historical porcelain sculpture measures approximately 24.5 centimeters in height, 14.5 centimeters in width, and 9.0 centimeters in depth.
